Georgie's draws its name from Bertha Georgie Hyde-Lees, later known as Georgie Yeats, who played a quiet but extraordinary role in literary history. Soon after her 1917 marriage to poet W.B. Yeats, she began practising "automatic writing," the recording of mysterious messages from spirits that sparked a lifelong creative and spiritual collaboration.
